Downing Centre Local Court today at 12.30pm; The client faced two charges arising from an incident outside a Kings Cross venue in the early hours of a Saturday morning.
Both charges were dismissed without conviction.
Credit to my instructing criminal solicitor, Elee Georges, whose skillful negotiations saw a third charge withdrawn before I was even briefed.
The matter highlights the importance of:
→ Properly analysing the police facts for mitigating circumstances
→ Presenting the court with evidence of good character and remorse
→ Taking proceedings seriously
Any conviction, can have lasting consequences for employment, travel, and reputation. USA is one of the toughest jurisdictions to enter.
If you’re facing charges and unsure of your options, get advice early for your clients from someone who has the runs on the board.
